AMMAN — The 18th General Conference of the Arab Towns Organisation will be held in Amman next month under the title “Sustainable Development and Stronger Partnership”.
Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh has announced that the Greater Amman Municipality will host the event, which “comes at a time when Arab countries need to enhance joint cooperation”, according to a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Secretary General of the Arab Towns Organisation Ahmed Hamad Al Subaih said that the conference’s title comes in line with the vision of the organisation towards supporting programmes, plans and strategies that support sustainable growth in Arab countries.
Arab Towns Organisation was established in 1967 in Kuwait, to support sustainable growth of Arab cities, according to its website.
