AMMAN — The Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Dutch Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI), on Thursday launched an online platform designated for marketing and exporting Jordanian agricultural products.
During the launching ceremony, Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat said that Jordan's exports have decreased “significantly” over the past 10 years due to border closures, noting that the ministry is searching for new markets to boost agricultural exports, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister expected the new website to contribute to accessing promising markets and helping in the study of relevant data, product, and production seasons in various countries. Additionally, it will focus production on high yielding crops in Jordan.
